Beacon Retirement Program:

This year the American Alpine Institute is teaming up with Ortovox to make sure you're traveling fast, light, and safe in the backcountry. With technological advances every year in the outdoor industry, it's important to stay up to date with your avalanche beacon's firmware. What's firmware you ask? Firmware allows your beacon to stay compatible with other beacons, can increase computing/processing speeds when in search mode, and makes sure your beacon is without errors.

So, if you have an older style avalanche beacon that maybe doesn't have 3 antennas, or perhaps has an outdated range of search, bring it by the Equipment Shop (1513 12th St, Bellingham, WA) and we'll give you a credit of $75 towards a NEW Ortovox 3+ beacon.
