Weighing in at a scant 8.2oz in the 60cm length, this fully aluminum ice axe has trimmed the fat to it's near limit without compromising safety. The aluminum pick is rated Type 1 for use as a snow anchor or in self-arrest, and is complimented by a functional adze. The shaft is plugged by a lightweight nylon plug and machined with a grip for good handling.
